Puppy Kindy

The first stage in providing education for the life of your dog is the Puppy Kindy Course. This four week course covers a number of puppy pertinent topics including:

  • the continued socialisation of puppies with people
  • the therapeutic socialisation of puppies with other puppies
  • development of bite inhibition and a soft mouth
  • introduction to basic manners such as: sit, drop and recall
  • discussion of puppy specific issues such as household etiquette, attention seeking behaviours, appropriate chew toys and handling techniques

The Puppy Kindy course is designed to prepare clients for successful involvement in our Advanced Puppy and Companion Dog Life-Skills courses. Classes are held in a safe, enclosed training environment. The attached programme is intended as an outline only. Each puppy and owner combination is unique and the programme is designed to be modified based on the clients needs.

Details are as follows:

  • Puppies of all breeds aged 8 to 16 weeks
  • Owners please bring vaccination certificate to initial class (first puppy vaccination only required)
  • Children and family members are encouraged to attend

Paw Prints Pet Training are currently holding Puppy Kindy classes at Kalamunda Veterinary Clinic, Cottesloe Animal Hospital, Padbury Vet Clinic, Wanneroo Veterinary Hospital, PETstock Cannington and Subiaco Veterinary Hospital. See our Training Venues page for more details.

Due to the popularity of our classes, it is essential that an enrolment form is filled out and a trainer is contacted before showing up.
If your dog is reactive (not good with other dogs) please contact a trainer to discuss an initial private session.
