Companion Dog Life-Skills

This eight week course, in total $198 (including GST), at Challenger Institute of Technology in Murdoch, and Billy's Day-Care For Dogs, Wangara, is for dogs 8 months of age and older; and the eight week courses held at Lawler Park, Floreat are for dogs of 4 months and older. No prior training is necessary although it is an ideal follow on class after participating in the Advanced Puppy course.

The attached programme is intended as an outline only. Each dog and owner combination is unique and the programme is designed to be modified based on the clients' needs.

The course will focus on a variety of issues, among them:

  • Focus and attention
  • On lead recall
  • Sit
  • Drop
  • Loose lead walking
  • Body language
  • Enrichment strategies
  • Responsible dog ownership

Details are as follows:

  • Dogs over eight months (Murdoch and Wangara), or four months (Floreat) as long as they are vaccinated
  • Children and family members are encouraged to attend

Due to the popularity of our classes, it is essential that an enrolment form is filled out and a trainer is contacted before showing up.
If your dog is reactive (not good with other dogs) please contact a trainer to discuss an initial private session.
